2D shoot'em up with 3D OpenGL graphics

(Course T-111.300 Computer Graphics, final exercise, year 2002)


Gameplay:

You have to defend the planet and rescue Turku from the assimilation!
If your ship is destroyed, scores are back to zero, though you can continue
gameplay from where you were. 

The game takes about 5 minutes to complete, though mastering the game, ie.
to get the highest scores without dying at all, will take a lot of effort.

When you see the peace symbol, the game is at the end.
(didn't have time for anything more fancy)

Misc:

There are binaries for Linux, Windows and SGI O2. GLUT and lib3ds are used.
Some bug sometimes causes the HUD to appear but nothing else. Restart to fix.
(might be fixed now)

Controls:

Ship Movement - Mouse
Fire - Left mouse button
Special Weapon (ie. homing missiles), when available - Right mouse button
Pause - P
Quit - ESC
